"Nesting"
Mr Fritz went through a "nesting"
phase, somewhat akin to what does
goes through when pregnant.
I don't know whaty triggered his odd
behavior but he was frantic with hay
and paper. He would grab gobs of it
in his mouth and carry it back to his
cage. He was obsessed by it! So
much so I had to remove all paper
and provide very small amounts of hay
. When there was no hay or paper,
he looked so sad. Poor Fritz!
He is back to his old self now.
Thank goodness his "nesting" phase is over. Whew!
Demolition Rabbit
Mr Fritz, like all the rabbits I've ever heard about enjoy a challenge. Areas closed to rabbits must be entered at all cost. I had a long cardboard barrier across the dining room. Mr Fritz worked and worked on it until he succeeded in making a hole, The hole was quite small at first. Only large enough for him to wriggle inside. This is his enlarged, new and improved version. He looked very pleased with himself (even smug) when he finally made it in. And to think he did all this without a tool belt or yellow hard hat. :)
Hans Solo,
Plastic Parachute Expert -------------->
Hans Solo loves plastic grocery bags! He grabs one end and runs and fast as he can with the bag streaming out behind him. It's incredibly funny to watch him whizz through the bunny tunnel with his plastic toy in tow.
My Paper Eaters
"...they thought it was great fun and when mum cleaned their room they would start work to re-arrange it again
The brown bunny was our Smudge and his wife was maple, they are so sadly missed by our mum and dad as they were great house buns even if they shredded paper, it used to make mum and dad laugh so much ."
